Updates for September 7, 2012

Over the last few weeks we’ve added tons new features to improve the the AMP experience. Get the details below!

First, we updated graphs for bike tests making. In this graph, we added historical results on top of the latest for tracking making it easier to measure and track long term performance.

Coaches and athletes. Can now comment on workouts and explain how it went. Here, you can see the actual comments themselves:

Comments will also show up on the load history graph:

And, if you scroll down on the graph page it details all the sessions for that time frame and allows a discussion to occur on them:

Load has also been dramatically revamped. Activities now behave like templates. Coaches can create them with default parameters (e.g. Zone 5, 3 reps, 30 mins) and then modify on for each session on the fly.

Activities in a workout session indicate the order should they be completed in completed and sets and reps are installed by default.

We have also made significant improvements to the sharing widget. Sharing with subgroups is much easier. Instead of creating separate teams for coaches, athletes, and other staff, our new sharing rules do that for you.

We also fixed a few bugs:

  • Minutes/distance will now properly appear in training zones
  • Fixed behavior of load user interface when adding units
  • Improved Internet Explorer compatibility
  • Adding training zones has been made more clear

Updates for August 14, 2012

With the end of the summer olympics, USSA is gearing up for Sochi 2014 and we are making sure that AMP is providing them with everything they need to get ready.

Over in Australia, it may be winter, but the Kangaroos are hot. With a big win over Essendon last week they move up to 6th in the league with a record of 12-7. We can’t wait to see how things pan out as the season draws into its final games.

Despite all of the exciting action in world of sports, we’ve been busy working on AMP.  Check out what we’ve been up to:

  • Added a brand new help center (support.ampsport.com)
  • Coaches are now able to properly delete unscheduled workouts
  • AMP now supports sending text (SMS) messages in Australia
  • Users can now properly access files from the event feed
  • User added activities are now added to the activity library

Updates for July 11, 2012

We’re back with more exciting news and announcements for July.

The AMP team is incredibly proud of the recent play we’ve seen from AMP family member, the North Melbourne Kangaroos.  They’ve brought their season record up to 7-7 and we can’t wait to see how the rest of the season shakes out. Best of luck to the Roo’s in their match against Carlton on Friday.

We’ve been hard at work on our side of the pond as well and have rolled out some great new features over the last couple weeks:

  • Subscribe to a workout calendar - find the “subscribe” button at the bottom of the user’s training tab
  • User can also now upload video, images etc and attach them to an activity
  • User may set their own load factor as well as adding times and venues
  • When clicking on an event from the front page, you will now be automatically directed to the file and comments - not just the file
